Without doubt, this has to be one of the most magnificent additions to my kitchen to date. Not only in the kitchen, I also use it as a nightly moisturiser before going to bed. Christopher says it’s like kissing a coconut, I think he means the smell combined with my spiky chin. I haven’t tried it yet but it can also be used as a hair conditioner and you can even clean your teeth with it.
The recipes in the book are fantastic. Roast potatoes in Lucy Bee Extra Virgin Raw Organic Coconut Oil 500ml tastes and smells divine. I roast mine in the skins, firstly because it saves the peeling and secondly because I love the taste of them in their skins.
The sweet treats are just as beautiful….take a look at the ice cream and chocolate sauce dessert I managed to create!
And that chocolate sauce sets just like chocolate….delicious!
Of course it is one more book for the shelf, but a very much used book already on my shelf. You will find it under the following link.
Coconut Oil – Nature’s Perfect Ingredient
You will find a huge amount of information at the Lucy Bee website – I have only just scratched the surface of the coconut. I am about to embark on a hand luggage only holiday and goodness knows how I am going to survive without it. Give it a go and send me your roast potato pictures, I dare you not to enjoy them!! As for me, my first jar is gone….and I am saving my labels for my free jar!
Hi Gerry, I buy my Coconut Oil from Grape Tree online, in Southampton when I’m visiting Chelsea but there is a store in Falmouth. Cheapest place I found. Julie x
