I usually feel pretty BLAAAAHHHH on a Monday morning, if you know what I mean….Procrastinating in bed, nose to my phone checking out Facebook,…as I said I wouldn’t …..
However, this morning, call it fate, call it what you will I came across an article by Steve Kamb which had been shared by Joshua Becker on the Becoming Minimalist site.
To tempt you it covers Simplifying Your Health:- I have been toying with simplifying the diet and fitness routine…this makes it seem clear.
Freeing Yourself from Distraction:- oh this is a biggie….the dreaded phone….can’t put it down, constant fear of missing out, missing the point of the Joy of missing out….Some good tips here…
Stopping Clogging Your Life with Stuff:- already working on this one so just a confirmation of the task already in hand…
Becoming Free to Grow:- isn’t this what we all want?? Or is that just me??
Go take a look at Joshua Becker’s site, it’s one of my favourites…uncomplicated and unassuming, just black and white…working my way through it.
Now Steve Kamb has a book….take a look at the blurb….
Level Up Your Life teaches readers how to change their lives and begin collecting real world experiences that are as amazing as video gamecharacters. Targeted at those who grew up playing video games, the book shows how to take the best elements from the things they love – movies, video games, television and pop culture, to transform their lives in extraordinary ways. They learn how to design their own personal Epic Quest of Awesome through sections dedicated to health, fitness, travel, and finance. For each discipline, Steven Kamb leads readers through their own journey, from determining what kind of game they want to play to their financial levelling structure, their personal OriginStory (every hero has a great origin story), and what their Level 50 character will look like. He also shows them how to build their own quest lists and how to hack their productivity, habits, and will power so they build momentum. He shows readers how to build in rewards and accountability, how to add members to their party, and even find their own personal Yoda or Morpheus to help them along the way. Kamb also covers Restarts and Extra Lives, or how readers can keep going when they get scared or stuck.
I just ordered it and will update my findings when I have given it a go….Lara Croft hot pants here I come!! It might just make it onto my My Favourite Books! list.
Just this chance reading whilst doing what I shouldn’t be doing this morning and my Monday is not quite as BLAAAHHHHH as I was making it out to be.
Now take the Blaaaahhhhh out of your Monday and achieve stuff….
